Just got back from New Zealand! I went to coach the US Surf Team at the World Jr.s held at Piha Beach just outside of Auckland.The US got 3rd just behind Hawaii and Australia. When the event was finish I spent the next two weeks traveling around with Slide Magazine. We ( Josh Constable, Taylor Jensen,Nava Young,Joe Aaron and myself) stayed on the East Coast of the North Island.Scored some fun waves and really got to see the true hospitality of the Kiwi! Look for the story in the Summer Issue of Slide.

Design:


Design is a deep ocean and we are always finding new ways of experiencing the way we enjoy the waves that we ride.The Designs we ride effect all of us in a emotional way and this emotion can be directly effected by the way a board is crafted.
How each element of design and how these elements work in harmony become the basis of a magic board. For me...I love trying new designs and reflecting back to the reasons why this evolution of design really started....because it's FUN! It's all about the RIDE!
